Drinking Water Purifier Donation Program In Action
Foundation For Clean Water (FCW) has an active drinking water purifier donation program.
Because of the need of available local volunteers to help out the entire process, this program thus far has only proceeded in China. We welcome volunteers in other countries, where drinking water quality is
in doubt.
Accomplished installations of water purification equipment includes:
an elementary school at ShiJiaZhuang, Hebei province, in 2015,
a middle school at AnLu, Hubei province, in 2016,
4 middle schools in MaoMing, Guangdong province, in 2017,
3 elementary schools in NingXia Region, in May, 2018,
5 middle schools in NingXia, in October, 2018
8 high schools in NingXia in June 2019
2 middle schools in NingXia in Sept., 2020
2 elementary schools in NingXia in July 2021
(No fruitful donation in 2022 due to Covid-19 pandemic)
Altogether they benefit over 14000 students and staff.

In carrying out our project, we have first undertaken a feasibility study and measured the quality of the drinking water source. Based on the the water test data, FCW in collaboration with the selected water purifier suppler determined the most suitable water treatment scheme to be used. Reverse osmosis equipment chosen was installed.
FCW also arranges for the multi-year maintenance to ensure drinking water quality over years. At the same time, we have set up an in-school education program in order to promote awareness of water quality and testing.
Meanwhile, prospective sites have been selected and the treatment process in design phase on a continuous basis.
FCW continues to solicit nomination of installation sites in need of water purification equipment. Our objective is to provide drinking water purifying systems to remote area schools which do not have supply of treated running water. Please apply for donation through our website.
